Hello, we at Marzia Golden Manor run an orphanage (we dont like calling it that, so henceforth it'll be called a children's home)

Located in Temeke, Dar es salaam, Tanzania

Provide the children more than satisfactory sleeping conditions, four to a room, a common entertainment and leisure area, kitchen and eating facility, education centre and religious areas

Top grade food will be supplied; this includes breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks in between. With the crisis of malnourished children all across Africa, this children's home will strive to give the children general nutritional dietary guided requirements.


Children GDA: This is 1,800 for children aged 5-10 years old.

Fresh clean and filtered water will be supplied throughout the premises. The water will be gathered through the use of boreholes, the water is then filtered in a three stage filter system.



Education



Provide a high level of education, by sending the children to schools and also offering extra classes/tuiton after school. Skills such as computer coding, languages, public speaking and home skills will be taught




Entertainment



Monitored usage of TV. Visitors will be invited to watch so that the children are not socially excluded and gain public awareness and acceptance. A playground with slides, swings, merry-go-rounds. A large multipurpose hall is available on the top floor for indoor flootball, badminton, basketball etc.

We will participate in tournaments across Tanzania and will spread awareness about health issues.



Social interaction



The main feature we want to implement is time from other outside members of the Childrens home. Weekly visits from certain groups will help the children to better interact with the outside public while at the same time making them feel like equals with everyone else.



Mission Statement:



To provide a high standard of life and education for the children with sound skills to prosper once they leave the children's home, enabling them to be self sufficient and to provide for their own families.



Where did we get our name from?



Marzia



Our Grandmother's name was Marzia - she was well known in the small town of Singida for being one of the kindest, most generous and caring people. If an unexpected guest were to come home, they would always find a home cooked meal and a place to sleep. So it was only natural for the children's home to be named after her.



Golden



The Founder of the Children's Home has companies with 'Golden' in each company name. So following the same theme, Golden was added to the name. It is also fitting as we want all our children to have a heart of Gold.



Manor



Manor: A Manor house is a country house, which historically formed the administrative centre of a manor. A Manor is known for its large halls and ability to feed and entertain a large audience- so too do we wish to do the same. A Manor also has a historical place, we too wish that this children's home will exist for a very long time.
